Women's Intro Climb Day

Next event TBA

Contact Matt Walker for more information. Reservations taken via email and phone. Please call to set-up dates and times for your group.

If you have not climbed before we offer one-day forays to give you a taste of what it is all about. This is a great program for families and a way to get the kids outside and into the natural world, enjoying themselves and learning new things in the outdoors. Our overall aim is simply to have fun on the rocks. All you need to bring is lunch and enthusiasm and we will provide everything else. We offer scheduled dates and custom programs year-round.

Locations

Our scheduled one-day programs take place in the Tucson area throughout the year. Mt Lemmon, the backdrop of Tucson, rises to 9,157 feet - a 7,000 foot gain from Tucson! This dramatic mountain provides a perfect climate for rock climbing at any time of the year. While it may be hot in town - it can be cool and breezy higher on the mountain. In addition, we utilize Cochise Stronghold (southeast of Tucson) as an excellent teaching and climbing area. The Stronghold is rich in Apache history and provides an amazing landscape of granite domes and grasslands. It is a unique and stunning landscape. Bear in mind that weather changes everything and we will work with mother nature to find the best location for instruction and climbing.

Women's Intro to Climbing Day

Ever wanted to try rock climbing? Thought it looked fun - but were too intimidated to try it or thought you weren't strong enough to rock climb! Think again! We are offering a women's specific introduction to rock climbing day to introduce women to the sport of rock climbing. Throw out your preconceived notions about climbing - this day is about getting out there and learning with the support of other women! Contrary to advertisements and film - climbing is not a sport about upper body strength - it is a graceful dance that engages the whole body and mind. Hint: climbing comes from your legs and center balance - not your biceps and shoulders! Join us for a fun, supportive, and compassionate day of rock climbing on Mt. Lemmon in Tucson, AZ.. We provide all of the technical equipment - you provide a sense of adventure, support for others, and a willingness to give it a go!
