Therapeutic Rock Climbing

Reservations taken via email and phone. Please call to setup dates and times for your group. Inner Passage is proud to offer therapeutic rock climbing as our principal therapeutic service. Rock climbing offers a unique and powerful opportunity to connect your mind, body, and spirit. By uniting these parts of the human experience we are able to work with individuals, couples, and families to strengthen their sense of self, increase their awareness of self and others, improve communication skills, and address issues of trust and risk-taking. Rock climbing presents an experience that gives immediate physical, mental, and emotional feedback to the participant. Therapeutic rock climbing can quickly reveal the patterns and dynamics that underline the participants habituated behaviors and thought patterns. It is a rich and rewarding experience. Additionally, utilizing therapeutic rock climbing in a family, couple, or group situation exposes habituated roles that may keep the participants "stuck" in unhealthy patterns. Rock climbing teaches clear and specific communication, accountability and responsibility, healthy and calculated risk-taking, problem solving opportunities, and trust and empowerment. Therapeutic rock climbing is well suited for individuals, couples, parent-child, families, and working groups. Please feel free to contact us about this service - we welcome the opportunity to discuss your situation and explore the various options that are available to help. |
