Inner Passage hosts a full day of training for mental health practitioners, students, and trainers. The days will be hands-on and active - we will discuss, demonstrate, and do. Day One will take place on Mt Lemmon and Day Two will take place at a local Ropes Course. You will learn how to facilitate low and high ropes course initiatives and recieve timely and helpful feedback. You will develop your signature leadership style and you will learn how to apply it to various group and individual demands. Adventure Therapy operates by creating a challenging experience which is framed metaphorically for transference and impact. Positive changes in behavior are measured through the client's ability to become cognizant of their initial behavioral responses to the experience and remain present to their emotional experience in order to alter the physical outcome of the activity. Experiential teaching and education is the art of connecting hands-on learning with emotional and behavioral habits. We will cover a variety of experiential teaching and process techniques to strengthen your group leadership and processing skills. Topics included in this training: |
