Matt Walker Stands for Adventure...
...adventure in everything (and anything) in your life. “Adventure is a lifestyle choice and perspective,” he says, “that reinforces living with intention and purpose.” He demonstrates and teaches this concept through his Five Elements of Adventure framework that explores high endeavor, total commitment, tolerance for adversity, and great companionship. Each of these concepts are engagingly elucidated in his new book release from Hay House, Adventure in Everything: Creating a Life of Authenticity, Purpose, and Inspiration.
Matt is more than a world-class mountain climber and motivator: his real world experience, systems awareness, and deep understanding of the human experience make him a sought after coach, speaker, and professional facilitator.
His Tucson-based company, Inner Passage, facilitates once-in-a-lifetime adventures, coaches individuals to reach their personal and professional goals, and offers professional team development workshops.
Inner Passage and the foundation of “Adventure in Everything” spawned over a decade ago when Matt as guiding clients on mountain expeditions to the highest peaks of the world. “I witnessed, and counseled, some pretty extreme – both good and bad – behaviors that emerged when people were placed in such a novel and challenging environment. These kinds of trips are a crucible for personal insight and awareness, but I wanted to help people be able to have “mini-epics” even throughout the day, without spending thousands of dollars and leaving home for a month. I wanted that kind of awareness and sense of purpose for me when I got home to my apartment after being out in the field.”
His work evoking adventure and high endeavor has supported success at Marriott, Medtronic, Nike, Microsoft, YPO, Active.com, Carmichael Training Systems, Apollo Data Technologies, and hundreds of individual clients. Where there is a desire for excellence, accountability, inspiration and creativity, Matt Walker’s Adventure in Everything methodology offers intriguing and adaptable solutions.
